Qin Lihong stated that the MAEXTRO S800 is a product that is highly anticipated and respectable, but the value orientation of Zunjie and ET9 is 'obviously different', and the two will form a good complement to each other, representing a relationship that involves both competition and cooperation. 'Including Yangwang (note: Yangwang U7), they are all good attempts by Chinese brands at the high end, and the Chinese market can fully accommodate them.'

NIO CEO William Li said: 'If MAEXTRO sells well, we are also very happy. This can make everyone realize that Chinese brands can indeed produce executive flagships, and several companies are doing it together, which will shake the monopoly of BBA in the executive market.'

Last night, at the NIO Day 2024 event, NIO's 'executive flagship' and 'technology flagship' new car ET9 was officially launched, starting at $78,800 (battery leasing plan BaaS priced at $66,000). The new car will start delivery next March, with the first delivery model being the limited edition.
