NIO's William: More possibilities in battery swapping cooperation with CATL

On December 22nd, according to a report by Caixin, NIO's chairman William stated that the battery pack of NIO's third brand, Firefly, is smaller than those of NIO and Ledao brands, which could potentially lead to more cooperation with CATL's battery swapping ecosystem.

On December 18th, CATL unveiled its chocolate battery swapping ecosystem, introducing standard battery swapping blocks of sizes 20 and 25. In terms of construction of battery swapping stations, CATL plans to build 1000 stations next year and also aims to expand into Hong Kong and Macau. The medium-term goal is to construct 10,000 stations, with the ultimate aim of building 30,000 stations.

Furthermore, CATL has announced partnerships with Changan, GAC, BAIC, Wuling, and FAW to jointly launch ten battery swapping models, which will be rolled out onto the market starting from the end of this year.
