According to a report, the Ford Ranger Sand Fox Special Edition is scheduled to be announced for launch on January 15th. The vehicle has already opened for pre-orders on January 6th, with a payment of 5000 yuan as an intention deposit to enjoy a value of 9800 yuan electric roller shutter cover optional package, limited to 100 copies.
As a reference, the Ranger series on sale was launched in China in 2023, with a price range of 145,800 yuan to 268,800 yuan. The Ranger Sand Fox Special Edition can be seen as a factory off-road modified version, with upgrades to the chassis and other areas. The vehicle offers FOX custom nitrogen shock absorbers, the rear suspension uses a Watt linkage structure, and it comes standard with front/rear electric control mechanical differential locks.
Additional features in the Sand Fox Special Edition include a high-capacity roof rack, exclusive legendary mud print decals, dynamic anti-glare lighting system, vehicle perimeter lighting system, dual cargo box lights, steering wheel heating, active noise cancellation, driver/ passenger knee airbags, crawl mode, and off-road water depth detection.
Power-wise, the Ranger Sand Fox Special Edition's 2.3T gasoline engine has a maximum power output of 190 kW and a peak torque of 450 Nm; the 2.3T diesel engine has a maximum power output of 137 kW and a peak torque of 470 Nm. The transmission system is matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
