Xiaomi's First SUV Car YU7 Unveiled Without Camouflage, Lei Jun Claims Large-Scale Road Testing Has Begun

On December 20th, local car enthusiasts in Beijing shared a series of uncamouflaged photos of Xiaomi's first SUV car, the YU7, reportedly located at Beijing Yanqi Lake.

The exterior design of Xiaomi YU7 largely continues the design style of Xiaomi SU7. The front of the car features a closed design, with the headlight outline and front bumper shape remaining essentially unchanged. The rear of Xiaomi YU7 adopts a through-style design, with the rear bumper shape style also remaining unchanged. Additionally, the car has a rear spoiler on the roof.

According to previous reports, Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, stated on Weibo that the Xiaomi YU7 SUV is currently undergoing large-scale road testing and is expected to officially launch in the market in June or July of next year. 'I hope that the YU7 test car can remove the heavy camouflage as soon as possible, which will help us conduct more comprehensive and detailed long-term large-scale testing to ensure product quality and create better products.'
