Changan Motors' Dongan Power N20TC New Energy CNG Turbocharged Engine Successfully Ignites
Changan Motors announced today that its Dongan Power N20TC new energy CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) turbocharged engine has successfully ignited.
Changan Motors stated that the engine utilizes technologies such as "high compression ratio, deep Miller cycle, high tumble ratio, fully variable oil pump", combined with "deep friction reduction, advanced thermal management, and dual-fuel compatibility" attributes, targeting both traditional and new energy market fields to create a new generation of main products in the alternative fuel sector.
The engine also features the optimal displacement of 0.5L per cylinder and the advantages of turbocharged natural gas configuration, providing solutions for passenger and commercial vehicles.
Furthermore, the N20TC is an important part of the N-series 2.0-liter product spectrum. The subsequent N20TC platform can also cover the N20T turbocharged engine series. The N20T engine with port fuel injection has certain cost-performance advantages compared to direct injection, and the platform-sharing strategy further reduces product development and management costs.
In 2024, Dongan Power has successively developed the 2.5-liter displacement N25TC turbocharged natural gas engine and the N25TM turbocharged methanol engine, in combination with the company's existing dual-fuel models, to fully cover the target market fields.
