New Car | Starting at $49,000 with Triple Motors, the Denza Z9 to Begin Delivery in Early December

Recently, we learned from Denza Automobile that the Denza Z9 will begin delivery in early December, with display cars arriving at stores nationwide and test drives available by the end of the month. The Denza Z9 was officially launched at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show, with the hybrid version starting at $49,000 and the pure electric version starting at $52,000.

The Denza Z9 maintains a consistent design philosophy with the Denza Z9GT, featuring a slim headlight assembly, an independent LED light strip below, a black mesh air intake in the middle of the front bumper, and a laser radar on each side. Additionally, the hybrid version has an active grille above the license plate frame.

The Denza Z9 adopts a three-box design,cancel the black trim on the side of the Z9GT, with a larger rear triangle window and silver trim continuing to decorate the window outline. The new car's rear is equipped with a sandglass-shaped taillight assembly and a luminous Denza brand logo, with the rear surround providing body-colored decorative pieces and an electric spoiler.

In terms of size, the Denza Z9 hybrid version has a length of 5235/1990/1500 (1518) mm and a wheelbase of 3125 mm, while the pure electric version is 5220 mm long. The Denza Z9 offers hidden door handles and optional streaming media rearview mirrors, with four car colors available: Star Black, Star Gray, Polar Night Purple, and Bright Moon White.

The front row of the Denza Z9 basically continues the design style of the Z9GT, equipped with a 13.2-inch all-digital instrument, a 17.3-inch central control screen, and a 13.2-inch entertainment screen for the co-driver, in addition to a 50-inch AR-HUD head-up display function. The car continues to use a four-spoke steering wheel but has replaced the shift lever with a joystick-style gear shift. Compared with the Z9GT, the co-pilot's instrument panel still provides two 50-watt wireless charging panels for mobile phones, the original gear lever area has been changed to a storage compartment with a cover, and there is still a cup holder and central armrest behind it.

The rear row of the Denza Z9 has a more significant difference compared to the Z9GT. The Z9 rear seats support 8-way electric adjustment, 2-way manual adjustment of the headrest angle, electric leg rest, the cushion can be adjusted forward by 65 mm, and the angle can be lifted by 10 degrees. In addition, the rear seats also provide heating, ventilation, and 10-point massage functions. The car's rear is equipped with dual trays, electric sunshades, and other configurations. At the same time, the rear has two 12.8-inch multimedia screens and a 7-inch armrest screen.

In terms of other configurations, the Denza Z9 is equipped with a four-zone fresh air system with 8 electric outlets, a 26-speaker Devialet audio system, front and rear refrigerators (4 liters in the front row and 10 liters in the rear), suede ceiling, real wood trim, a full-cabin surround ambient light, and rear wireless mobile phone charging.

The Denza Z9 applies Yi San Fang technology, offering hybrid and pure electric versions. The hybrid version is equipped with a power system composed of a 2.0T engine and three driving motors (one in front and two in the rear), with the 2.0T engine having a maximum power of 152 kW, the front motor having a maximum power of 200 kW, and the two rear driving motors each having a maximum power of 240 kW. The pure electric version has a front motor with a maximum power of 230 kW and two rear driving motors each with a maximum power of 240 kW.

The Denza Z9 hybrid version is equipped with a 38.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a CLTC pure electric range of 201 km and a comprehensive fuel consumption of 6.6 liters per 100 km in the power-off state. The pure electric version is equipped with a 100 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a CLTC pure electric range of 630 km.

The Denza Z9 also comes standard with the Yunyan-A intelligent air vehicle control system and rear wheel dual motor independent steering technology. The rear wheel dual motor independent steering technology has a maximum steering angle of 20 degrees (±10 degrees), and the left and right rear wheels can be controlled separately, with a turning radius of only 4.62 meters, and can achieve a 15-degree diagonal parallel movement of the crab mode , Yi San Fang parking, and circular compass turning.

Competing products in the market are expected to include the Avista 12 (manufacturer's suggested retail price $3.99-$6.01 thousand), the Zhi Ji L7 (manufacturer's suggested retail price $4.50-$8.68 thousand), and the NIO ET7 (manufacturer's suggested retail price $6.42-$7.74 thousand), all of which use pure electric power.
