BYD's Denza Enters Thai Market, Denza D9 Orders Surpass 250,000

On November lst,following Hong Kong, Cambodia, and Singapore, BYD's high-end brand Denza officially announced its entry into the Thai market, which is also the fourth market for the Denza brand in the Asia-Pacific region.

According to BYD, the cumulative number of Denza car order users has exceeded 250,000. The Denza D9, which is launching in the Thai market, will introduce Premium and Premium-AWD versions, priced at 1,999,900 Thai Baht and 2,699,900 Thai Baht,respectively.

The Denza D9 is built on BYD's e-platform 3.0, equipped with leading blade battery technology, DiSus-C intelligent damping suspension platform, and the Premium-AWD version can achieve a maximum range of 580 kilometers under NEDC conditions.

It is reported that this luxury pure electric MPV has a body length of over 5.25 meters, with the four-wheel-drive version reaching a maximum power of 275kW (about 368 horsepower), a peak torque of 470 Nm, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.9 seconds.

The Denza D9 is equipped with top-grade NAPPA leather seats, second-row executive seats with zero-gravity massage functions, and an integrated 14-speaker intelligent audio system built by Denmark's top audio brand Dynaudio.

Shenzhen BYD New Energy Co., Ltd., trading as Denza, is an automobile manufacturing company headquartered in Shenzhen, China, specialising in luxury electric cars and a joint venture between BYD Auto Industry and the Mercedes-Benz Group (previously Daimler AG). Founded in May 2010, in late 2014 the company introduced its first model, the Denza EV. The car was initially put on sale in selected Chinese cities only. In late 2021, Denza underwent a restructuring as Mercedes-Benz reduced its share to 10%, while BYD held the rest.
