Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Mass Production Version Launched, Pre-sale Price $114,227

On October 29th, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has welcomed its pre-sale with a price tag of $114,227. The new model is equipped with a tri-motor system and a racetrack version high-power battery pack, achieving a maximum horsepower of 1548PS, with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 1.98 seconds (excluding start time), and a designed top speed of 350km/h.

   

Exterior-wise, the new car has added aerodynamic kits on the basis of the Xiaomi SU7 Max, with further increased body size. The length, width, height, and wheelbase are 5115mm, 1970mm, 1465mm, and 3000mm, respectively. The front of the car features an extra-large front铲 and air dam, paired with a "U-shaped" wind blade, effectively increasing the downforce at the front of the vehicle. The grille opening is further enlarged, increasing the cooling area by 10%. The rear adds an active rear diffuser with two adjustable levels, and a new carbon fiber fixed large spoiler with a span of 1560mm and a chord length of 240mm, providing considerable downforce during high-speed driving. Thanks to the new aerodynamic design, the maximum downforce of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra can reach 285kg.

Inside the car, the seats and steering wheel design have been upgraded. The new car is equipped with brand new sports seats, with the active side support function of the seats upgraded for faster response and larger support area; the seat back is newly added with exclusive race embroidery stripes and Ultra embroidery emblem. The steering wheel has been newly designed with a flat top and bottom racing style, and the material has been upgraded to carbon fiber, with a yellow return mark at the 12 o'clock position. In addition, yellow safety belts, a red Boost button on the steering wheel, and a large amount of carbon fiber decoration have been added.

In terms of power, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is equipped with two V8s motors and one V6s motor, achieving a maximum horsepower of 1548PS, with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 1.98 seconds (excluding start time), and a designed top speed of 350km/h. The battery uses CATL's Kirin II high-power battery pack, with a maximum discharge power of 1330kW, and a CLTC range of 630km.

In terms of performance, the new car is equipped with carbon ceramic brake discs, high-performance fixed calipers, and high-performance brake pads, with a 100km/h-0 braking distance of only 30.8m. The suspension uses dual-chamber air springs, with high-performance variable damping shock absorbers, providing a larger range of spring stiffness and damping adjustment, with a more comfortable standard mode and a more sporty sport mode. It also provides professional-level Bilstein® EVO T1 coilover shock absorber kits for track players.

Xiaomi Automobile Co., Ltd. was registered and established on September 1, 2021, with the legal representative Lei Jun and a registered capital of 10 billion yuan. On March 30, 2021, Lei Jun announced that Xiaomi Group would establish a wholly-owned subsidiary responsible for the intelligent electric vehicle business. On November 27, 2021, the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee officially signed a cooperation agreement with Xiaomi, announcing that Xiaomi Motors will settle in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. Mass production in the first half of 2024. In February 2024, it was announced that Xiaomi's first car, the SU7, will officially enter the SOP (Start of Production) phase in mid to late February and begin mass production. The production plan for the first month after SOP, which is March, is around 2000 vehicles, and it is expected to complete the production capacity ramp up by mid-2024, with a production capacity of over 10000 vehicles in July. On February 23rd, Xiaomi Motors responded to rumors of "giving away Beijing license plates as soon as you buy": it is completely untrue, and Xiaomi's pricing, delivery, and sales policies are based on official announcements. On March 19, 2024, Lei Jun announced on his personal Weibo account the official opening of Xiaomi's super factory. On March 28th, Xiaomi SU7 held a launch event. On the evening of March 29, 2024, Xiaomi Motors released data showing that within 24 hours of the launch of the SU7, 88898 units were ordered.
