GAC Trumpchi S7 Interior Unveiled, to be Launched in the First Half of 2025
On January 6th, GAC Trumpchi officially showcased the interior of its new mid-to-large SUV, the Trumpchi S7. The new vehicle will be equipped with GAC's self-developed end-to-end autonomous driving technology and an AI smart cockpit. Notably, the vehicle is scheduled to be launched in the first half of 2025.
In terms of interior design, the vehicle features a straight dashboard line, a large horizontal central control screen (equipped with a Qualcomm 8295 chip), and a two-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, creating a good sense of fashion. At the same time, the vehicle is also equipped with wireless phone charging, HUD, and other configurations, greatly enhancing the convenience of use. It is worth mentioning that, from the official images, the central speaker on the dashboard is designed to be retractable, giving a high-end feel.
In terms of seating, the vehicle adopts a design style with patterns, and the rear seats seem to support multi-angle adjustment, bringing a more comfortable riding experience. At the same time, its rear seats support a 4/6 split-fold (after the second row is folded flat, the trunk space can reach 2050L), greatly enhancing the vehicle's loading capacity (34 storage spaces throughout the vehicle). In terms of configuration, the vehicle will provide 22 high-fidelity speakers, support Dolby Atmos, retractable tweeters, driver's headrest speakers, enhancing the comfort of driving and riding. At the same time, the front windshield and four-door glass are all equipped with double-layer laminated soundproof glass, enhancing quietness. It is worth mentioning that the four-wheel drive version comes standard with electric door suction. In terms of size, the new car has a length, width, and height of 4900/1950/1780mm, and a wheelbase of 2880mm.
The new car adopts a new design language of "hiding the sharpness in the smoothness", which is more fashionable than the current Trumpchi models on sale. Specifically, the vehicle uses a star ring-style light group, equipped with a closed front grille, and has a high recognition. It is worth mentioning that, according to the official, the vehicle's headlight group has 2248 beads, and can preset at least 8 emotional light languages, which can be upgraded more through OTA, providing users with emotional value.
Looking at the side of the car, the vehicle uses a hidden door handle and is equipped with a suspended roof design that hides the BCD pillars, paired with a dense-spoke 20-inch wheel shape, creating a good sense of refinement. In terms of the rear, the light group similar to the Chinese character for 'return' enhances the overall sense of the rear. In terms of color matching, the vehicle will be equipped with dawn bronze, rainforest green, bright moon gray, and crystal black for users to choose from.
As the first mass-produced model of GAC Trumpchi's high-end intelligent driving, the Trumpchi S7 is equipped with a roof-mounted lidar, multiple cameras on the front, sides, and rear, and matches GAC's self-developed L2++ end-to-end autonomous driving system, which can drive without maps, zero intervention on highways, and safe use in urban areas. At the same time, the vehicle is built on the GAC Trumpchi EV+ platform, providing plug-in hybrid and range-extended power, equipped with electric four-wheel drive, with a driving range of over 1000km. At the same time, the plug-in hybrid version of the vehicle has been declared earlier, equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5T engine, with a maximum engine power of 118kW, and we will continue to pay attention to the specific performance of the motor and endurance.
