BYD to Build Humanoid Robots, Global Recruitment for Embodied Intelligence Talents
On December 17th, BYD, a major player, joined the humanoid robot industry. On December 13th, the 'BYD Recruitment' public account released recruitment information for the 25th embodied intelligence research team. Positions include senior algorithm engineers, senior structural engineers, senior simulation engineers, and more, focusing on humanoid robots, bipedal robots, and other dimensions, targeting global master's and doctoral graduates of 2025.
The team introduction shows that BYD's embodied intelligence research team, by deeply exploring the company's large-scale application scenarios, carries out customized development of various robot bodies and systems, continuously enhances the perception and decision-making capabilities of robots, and promotes the accelerated application of embodied intelligence in the industrial field. The team has developed products such as process robots, intelligent collaborative robots, intelligent mobile robots, and humanoid robots.
Last month, at the BYD 30th anniversary and the launch of the 10 millionth new energy vehicle, BYD's chairman and president Wang Chuanfu announced that in the future, 100 billion yuan will be invested in the development of intelligent technology combining artificial intelligence and automobiles, to achieve a comprehensive intelligent upgrade of the entire vehicle.
It was noticed that domestic humanoid robot company 'UBTECH' received investment from BYD in its early stages. In October this year, UBTECH's new generation of industrial humanoid robots Walker S1 entered BYD and other automotive factories for training.
